Dr. Kathryn Strangstalien

I am delighted to serve the community of Winona by helping families get healthy naturally.  I have helped many people of all ages with this safe and all natural form of health care known as Chiropractic.  Many people know that Chiropractic is the proven choice for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other conditions.  Here are some Chiropractic success stories...

My husband, Jason, developed a case of severe low back pain from playing football.  He abruptly came to a point where he could hardly walk or move around...and he needed to use a cane!  He was worried that he would have this problem for the rest of his life.  After seeking Chiropractic care, his back pain went away completely and he is now able to lead a healthy and active life.  Imagine that, someone who walked into a Chiropractic clinic with a cane and walked out ready to get back onto the field!

One patient I helped had bad heartburn every time she would exercise, and sometimes even just sitting in a chair.  After I provided her with Chiropractic care, the heartburn completely resolved.  She was so happy that she didn't have to start taking heartburn medication or experience burning pain all of the time.

Recently, a patient came to me for help with neck pain and headaches...and got excellent results.  But even more exciting was the fact that after care here at Great River Chiropractic, she was able to finally sleep better at night!  What a difference sleep makes...

These are just a few examples of how Chiropractic care can help you enjoy a better quality of life.  Now you can see why I am so passionate about sharing Chiropractic with our community.  I first learned the power of Chiropractic from my family.  In fact, my aunt and two of my uncles are Chiropractors in Spain!  They continue to inspire me by showing just how much they help their patients live healthier and happier lives...and now I do, too!

I am from nearby Wabasha, MN.  You may know it as the home of "Grumpy Old Men" just 30 miles up the road.  My husband Jason and I now live in the Winona community.  We enjoy gardening, canoeing, camping, and spending time with our family and friends...including our cat, Blue.  I look forward to meeting you at our clinic, stop on by to see if I can help you!

Dr. Ned Crowley

I graduated in 1983 from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During this education, I spent three years under private instruction for the Gonstead Method. During this time I worked as an intern under the guidance of field practitioners dedicated to teaching this method.

I have been practicing in Winona, Minnesota for over 30 years.  I have developed a great degree of confidence in chiropractic treatment and its ability to decrease pain and symptoms, as well as improve overall health. My desire is to help people continue to do all the things that make their lives enjoyable.

My goal is to offer the highest quality chiropractic care to everyone who comes in to Great River Chiropractic. I consider your relationship with me to be proactive, meaning I will correct your spinal subluxations, and you will evaluate your work, home, diet and exercise to improve your health and optimize your chiropractic care. I say this because ultimately, you heal you!

Through my safe, specific method of adjusting your spinal misalignments, we are able to remove nerve irritation. Removing this irritation allows your nervous symptoms to function properly and your body to heal itself as it was meant to. Working together, correction of your spine will be made in as few planned appointments as necessary.

At Great River Chiropractic, I practice the Gonstead Methodology. The Gonstead technique is very specific in which we emphasize the correction of the one vertebra, which creates symptoms such as pain and/or structural deficiency (posture). A subluxation (a bone out of place) predisposes you to injury or a wide range of symptoms.

The Gonstead Method adjusts only the subluxated segments and being this specific differentiates the Gonstead technique from other chiropractic techniques. Dr. Gonstead´s commonly used line is “find it, fix it, and leave it alone”. Therefore, you will find at Great River Chiropractic that we spend extraordinary time determining the exact location of your problem, finding it and fixing it in as few treatments as necessary to stabilize your condition after which I encourage you to maintain your health and spinal care through planned wellness visits.
